Where this technology fits

Tourism & Heritage

3D archaeological and heritage reconstruction, guided virtual visits and immersive cultural outreach.

Heritage has a communication problem: what is left standing almost never resembles what once stood there. A visitor sees four columns and has to imagine the rest. Most cannot, and they leave without having understood what they were looking at.

At the Temple of Diana in Mérida we rebuilt the monument at its height. The visitor walks through the temple, handles objects from the period and hears an audio guide explaining what each thing is.

The Maltravieso and Escoural caves called for something different: these are spaces that cannot be visited without damaging them. The reconstruction lets anyone go in, see the paintings and, at the end of the route, leave their own handprint the way the Neanderthals did.

And where a space can be visited, 360 gets there sooner: the University of Extremadura and Regional Assembly tours are walked from the browser, with audiovisual content spread across the points of interest.
